I really enjoyed making this little book. Couldn't decide whether to do blue or green so did both. The blue was a bigger challenge to fit in with the fruit/veg theme so not many pages of that side feature fruit/veg. I mostly used acrylic paints, my photos and magazine pictures.
Not sure about the pink background, or maybe the pears are too small, the shades of green are really my shades of green though. Loved the look of the stripey pears and decided you'd need green fingers to grow them.
I was really pleased with my potato cut strawberry, especially where it hasn't printed and the green coming through like seeds. Probably wouldn't have come out like that if I'd tried.
Kept adding colour to the apples but decided any more would start to look brown, even though it still wasn't quite what I wanted.
Just realised this is upside down - sorry. Don't feel the blue squares look as different as I hoped.
I was delighted with the way the pattern of the background shows through the paper writing, think it looks very pretty.
Wished I'd diluted the paint a bit more for some of the background but overall quite pleased with my painting. Should probably set aside 5 mins a day to practise then there really might be a difference.
